HELLO.

I’m Rafael Pulido, a photographer, graphic designer and multimedia artist.

I work as a freelance creative director in Los Angeles. Prior to that I spent 9 years as an in-house art director in the fashion industry.

9 years is a long time and during that period I developed campaigns, magazines, e-commerce sites, packaging and product photography.

I’ve worked with some of my favorite brands, like Citizens of Humanity and Ralph Lauren, and shot a cover story for Oyster Magazine. I’ve photographed celebrities like Mike Tyson, Tinashe, Alice Glass, Cam Newton, and Martha Hunt.

I’ve art directed shoots featuring Alicia Keys, Serena Williams, Lars Ulrich, Anthony Kiedis, Iman, Courtney Love, Kate Moss, Iman, and Yoko Ono.

Some fun facts

My photos of the Sesame Street Muppets had a gallery show in Berlin, Vogue Germany included one of my fashion campaigns in their “Best of” list for that season, I design furniture in my free time, and my favorite cameras to shoot with are a Nikon Fe2 and my Sony MiniDV.
